The Walker's: October 2010

Miss Halle June had her 2nd birthday on Monday, October 11, and I am so amazed, proud, and in love with who she is becoming. She has quite a personality, which includes a whole lot of drama queen, but she keeps us smiling so it's all ok. She speaks pretty well already, but from week to week I'm surprised at how many more sentences I'm starting to realize she is saying.

Lately every time I cough or sneeze, she'll stop whatever she's doing (including barking like a dog) to say, "Ya k, mom?" And I tell her, "Yeah, I'm ok Hal" and she just goes back to her little world. Makes me laugh every time!

She loves her cousin Sophie, gives her hugs and kisses all day, and still calls her "baby" so I think it might be a bit confusing for her to understand that there is a baby in my belly because Sophie is getting so big.
She has been sleeping in a twin bed for a few weeks now and I am SHOCKED at how well she transitioned. In the mornings and after her naps she will sit and call my name until I come get her instead of just coming out- which I love- but I'm pretty sure she just doesn't want to give up her binky any sooner than she has to because she knows she can only have it during nap and bedtime- but that's working well for us too.

Wears shoes to bed almost every night, but we love going to peek on her and just take them off
WILL NOT wear socks or jackets- it's been a rough transition from summer to fall :)
Has a pretty major sweet tooth, so thank goodness she loves to try flossing whenever she sees me floss and lets me brush her teeth most of the time.
Also loves hot dogs still and lately I've been making lots of soup and she is a big fan.
